R.I.P. Tina Turner

I had the privilege of seeing Tina Turner perform. What a woman! What a show! She was spectacular. May she rest in peace.

She was iconic. She endured so much in her early life, overcame it and came back as a winner.

I know she had numerous health issues, but I can't help but wonder if her son Ronnie's death from colon cancer in December 2022 might have helped contribute to this. RIP Tina. You're my Private Dancer!

I first saw the news of her passing right here on the forum! I knew her health was failing but still this is shocking. Tina Turner is one of those people who seems like [she] would live forever. Not only was she beautiful and talented, she was an incredibly strong woman who overcame many hardships since childhood. I'm glad she finally found true love in her senior years. Rest in Paradise Tina.

So sorry to hear this. I was lucky enough to see her a few times when she was still with Ike — once as an opening act for the Stones, I believe, and also at the Troubador in Los Angeles. Heck of a show.

When the band came in through the front door, the vibes were chilly, to say the least. I'm glad she got away from Ike, and found love and happiness.

Tina, RIP

“Happiness is the greatest beauty secret. People think my life has been tough, but I think has been a wonderful journey. The older you get, the more you realise it's not what happens, but how you deal with it.”
(Tina Turner)

Rest in Peace dear Tina…
