I heard about Dr. Brown's abx therapy many years ago and over the years it's been kept out of the forefront for all the new and pricier biologics and steroids ...thought I'd share this link as it's a good overview. Low dose abx, long course. I first heard about it on The Roadback Foundation support group. I can't find the group now so it may be closed. Don't know...but therapy is still there.

Thank you for the links, & information. Now the battle will be to find a doctor that might 1st, have even read it / be aware of it themselves, and 2nd, even consider it's possibilities in my case.

These modern docs just seem to be so 'contained-in-the-box' of today's accepted protocol treatment. They are afraid to think for them selves....outside the box. It's sort of...well the book says this, so that is all that we can do. And of course their a$$ is covered because they stayed within those lines. The patient may not be improving? or feel any better?...but that's OK....we're doing what protocol dictates ..........:(

Boy hear you on that one...there have got to be rheumatologists who know the abx therapy. Or even the old timer MD's....

I own the book, RA, The Infection Connection and the author spoke so highly of it and used it herself. Those on Roadback too. What I heard from a Roadback member was higher doses of MSM in water thru the day, like 3 doses, 1 heaping tsp per dose in 8+oz of spring water. I'm about to take my second dose today.

From what I've heard from another RA member at another group one of the side effects of some of the biologics or all I don't know, is cancer.

My neighbor is about 65 or so and came down with the RA dx a few yrs ago and from a robust healthy woman, she has become so frail and lost so much of her beautiful curly hair which I admired and thru her HMO I'm sure she's taking the biologics and steroids. Plus she's on a very limited income so can't buy all the really good foods her body needs. If I had a lot of extra money, she'd be my first to give it to.
