Racial Profiling ? Why 'Persons of Color' are the Majority of Coronavirus Cases in many Places.

@hollydolly , even tho' dated, the article you posted rang familiar with me.

I recall reading somewhere a long time ago, that Africans sprinted better in a running race than Caucasians, but could not endure in distance running due to smaller lungs, not weaker, but smaller.

If this is true, medical science must devise a workable treatment for them.
Who always wins the 26-mile L.A. Marathon every year, by a huge margin? They are always from Kenya & Ethiopia.

Speaking of physical characteristics:

A man boarded an airplane and took his seat.
As he settled in, he glanced up and saw an unusually beautiful woman boarding. He soon realized she was heading straight toward him & she took the seat right beside his.
Eager to strike up a conversation, he blurted out, "Business trip or vacation?"
She turned, smiled and said, "Business. The Annual Sex Education Convention in Chicago."
He swallowed hard. Here was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen, sitting next to him, and she was going to a meeting for sex education! Struggling to maintain his composure, he calmly asked, "What's your business role at this convention?"
"Lecturer," she responded. "I use my experience to debunk some of the popular myths about sexuality."
"Really!" he said. "What myths are those?"
"Well," she explained. "One popular myth is that African American men are the most well endowed, when in fact, it's the Native American Indian who is most likely to possess that trait.
Another popular myth is that French men are the best lovers, when actually it is the men of Jewish descent.
We have, however, found that the best potential lover in all categories is the Southern Redneck."
Suddenly, the woman became a little uncomfortable and blushed. "I'm sorry," she said. "I shouldn't really be discussing this with you. I don't even know your name."
"Tonto Goldstein,” he replied. “But my friends call me Bubba."

Well, since you edited your original post I'll be happy to repeat it here:

You'll soon know everything. The message will come from someone indisputable and you'll have to deal with it."

Looking at your diary, it's not clear if you're doing Performance Art or not. If so, you're not too good at it, or maybe it's just the subject you chose. Maybe you are good at it. Time will tell what your game is.

Since I started this thread (which I now regret), I was upset by the image posted by this person of the cat in a mailbox. So, I did some research - it may be:

(SOURCE: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/soon)

"SOON is a common caption in image macros that typically feature a creepy looking figure peering out of a dark enclosed space or a figure looking out from a a window or closed door. The caption implies that the figure is plotting some sort of devious scheme, intended for either the viewer or a person or object in the foreground.

Origin - One of the earliest online references to a menacing "soon" appears in the webcomic The Parking Lot Is Full[21] in an installment posted on March 27th, 2001. The comic, captioned, "Quiet Ambition," features Jesus behind God's shoulder thinking, "Soon."

Spread - One of the earliest known images utilizing a SOON caption featured an angry looking orange cat glaring at a small Chihuahua puppy. It was posted to I Can Has Cheezburger[1] on April 12th, 2007, but has since been removed."

It may be something else entirely, but I didn't like the image or tone of the posts. I hope I'm reading them wrong.

You are not alone, lots of us regret certain threads that we started. If you are feeling “bad”, please don’t.

Good research @Empty
Please don't regret starting threads which go topsy-turvy. So do face to face conversations.
Thanks. I did do the private conversations twice, just because they were getting off topic and personal. I really wish I could figure out how (if possible) to edit an original thread after it has been up a while - it might help quell the mayhem if I worded things differently (still learning about social networking). I notice other sites have things like "sticky threads." I wonder if there is a way to have the original post always appear at the top of each page, instead of just the first entry on the first page? I think I will post these questions to the ? admin link ?

@Empty
IMO, and it's just my IMO of course:
I don't think threads should be edited by anyone other than Matrix. I don't think someone who starts a conversation owns that conversation. Humans are a sloppy bunch, and we go where our minds take us at the moment. It's not like writing a senior thesis for goodness sake. Just because a thread is in print doesn't make it sacrosanct, and doesn't make the author authoritarian in the direction it goes. In other words, So What? Is this all we have left to be serious about in our dotage?

@katlupe your link about vitamin D is very interesting. Dark skin is naturally meant to protect people from too much sun in hot climates such as Africa and India.

Drifting just a little, I found it interesting that black skinned people don't suffer more fractures due to inadequate vitamin D as light skinned people do because they found there is something in their digestive system that protects their bones.

How amazing our human bodies are!
This just confirms what we already know...the different races have been adapted by nature to exist in a specific part of the world.

"Our culture is so unique and so special. We like to be very close. We believe in hugging and hand shaking and embracing each other
Oh my!!!!! My whole family is African American.... LMAO

Pepper... The fence is a divide between ideas and believes... If your on one side of this fence, and can twist information to your advantage you will.
And when it comes to racism... its a 2 way street

And doing good... couple more days and I can hug the wife again... Thanks for asking

Hmm, I have to take vitamin D, vitamin B, and 1200 units of magnesium. My skin is white, I burn easily, I am Irish with a trace of American Indian proved by DNA testing and relatives, lol. What specific part of the world should I live in, as I born here.

Since Kenyans are the world's best marathoners, that's clearly not true.

African-Americans smoke more and have higher rates of asthma, heart disease, obesity and diabetes. And they are more likely to be in "front line" positions in health care, first response, retail, nursing homes, etc. So higher mortality rates are not a surprise.

They also live in urban areas and so are more likely to take mass transit. The "family closeness" thing, well, I don't know. Maybe a contributing factor.

Everybody has the same access to health care in this crisis and as far as I know no one is asking about payment, so that's not a factor either.

If you have white skin, you are adapted to live in a mild climate. It's no coincidence that white people originate in Europe. Black skins are adapted for the hot African sun.

REALLY?
Trapping a black cat in a dark mailbox on a sunny day in the deep south is animal abuse.
You are reading WAY TOO MUCH into my post and taking things personally that aren't intended to be.
The SOON meant that all of you would soon know the truth about what is really going on.
There was never any intention of putting anyone down. I don't do mean.
I DIDN'T take that photo, so it could have been taken anywhere at anytime by anyone. It was snatched from a site.
Please "ignore" me EMPTY! Click on my name, click "ignore" and you won't be offended by anything I post.

Really? If you ignore someone you can’t read/see their posts? Can you see their threads? 🤣 well, gee, hmm, 🤔

were you born and raised in Ireland... or have Irish parents?

Ladies. Don’t fight over this.
It’s a pandemic. Some believe this virus was intentionally created in a lab to kill off certain parts of the population .Casting blame doesn’t help any but is what mankind has done throughout history.

The link leads to many other informational and interesting links. Thanks! One of the most interesting links is: https://www.visualcapitalist.com/the-math-behind-social-distancing/ The graphic shows the virus spread from one person in 30 days:
Bottom line - With NO social distancing, it is estimated that one infected person can spread the virus to 406 others in 30 days... a good read, all the way.
