Reindeer with unusually high levels of radiation in Norway 30 years after the Chernobyl nuclear plant explosion. Radiation got into the vegetation including a fungus the deer eat in the winter. The primary material or radiation was cesium-137.

Some say the levels should be declining more. Norway regulates the amount of radioactivity in food. Still an issue for the deer.
 

Not sure if it's still the case, but certainly a year or so ago there were still restrictions on Welsh lamb, because their mountain grazing was contaminated. Their meat had to be destroyed.
 
Could give new meaning to "hot" food or no one will have to ask for their meat 'well done' again.

I've had reindeer steak in Norway and it tends to come well done anyway. It is delicious.

The statement that you like reindeer steak can be a real conversation killer at a kids' Christmas party!
