Yes, she really worked hard for the Gurkhas, because her father was a Major
in their regiment, she got a lot of promises and got them permission to stay
in the UK when they retired.

She was also fighting to get them a decent pension, the one that they had
was fine for Nepal, where they come from, but drastically low for the UK, I
don't know how successful she was with that.

I heard or read something earlier last year that the Gurkhas were protesting
about their accommodation, they were given low standard houses, that had
not been properly maintained I believe.

But Joanna is a star and not just in my eyes, but also in the eyes of some people
in high positions.
