Rain Rain Don't Go Away

Finally, a nice drenching last night to our water starved drought stricken valley and some snow up in the Sierra's but now the rain has stopped with no forecast of when it might resume. Maybe California should junk the High Speed Rail plans and spend the money on getting and keeping water in the Valley.

Hope you get more rain Lon, this drought is terrible and affecting numerous states, but California and Texas seem to be two of the worst.

California has been quite progressive regarding environmental protection. Witness their stricter requirements for gasoline formulation. They're really going to have to suck up their gut dealing with this water shortage problem. It occurs to me that the active religious community in CA might endeavor to utilize their special connection with the powers that be to perhaps pray away the drought.
