If there's thunder and lightning, great. I like to listen to the rain and thunder, watch the flashes of lightning. If there's just a downpour, I view it as an impediment to my working and/or running errands.

I also like to watch lightning and hear thunder and the sound of rain on the windows. In younger days, would drive down to the beaches to watch the waves on the lake during thunderstorms (from the car).

When I was in Australia, the rainfall was "different" .. don't ask - it just was.

My favourite type of swimming is in the lake in the middle of a thunderstorm but my husband freaks and ruins my fun every time just like my motorcycle riding :waiting:

Since it seldom rains in Fresno and usually only in the winter I love everything about it. This year will be the first year in a long time that we’ve gotten a lot of rain....means our drought conditions should be over this summer, especially with all the snow the mountains had...means a good melt off in the spring for the Valley.

Its raining today..yay!

Of course Rain in Fresno is like snow and ice elsewhere...lots of flooding and accidents.

We hardly ever get thunder or lightening..just rain....wonder why?
