Received town tax bill today

Do you worry about when you're older and perhaps unable to get around easily ?

I'm not worried yet, but I am aware that this will have to be considered. A more immediate issue is that this is an old house and needs a fair bit of maintenance. The garden is a good size and growing our own vegetables doesn't help the creaks and groans in the joints!

Cost of living on a fixed income, including property tax, is the main reason I moved out of NY in 2011.

I find that very tempting every time my property taxes are due. Some of my friends rent now and I envy the fact they have lost the property taxes.

Actually owning my condo is half the price of renting even considering my mortgage and hoa fees which also includes all my utilities.
