I did the same thing. Well, I worked as a department store stock boy. Graduate at 1pm, worked the 5-11 shift that night.

I miss that job. Girls everywhere. I stayed there until I left for the army the following March.

I wonder if it's too late for me to get any money...

Not to take anything away from this nice young boy but my first thought was , didn't we all? I went to work at the Quarrier Diner immediately after graduation and worked all summer. Saving every penny of my 45 cents an hour "for college." It might have paid for a few books.

In this day and age when his generation and then some look for and prioritize any excuse to party this is why he stands out. Although yes he's probably not the only one who has gone to work graduation day.

Today when I see parents put those high school graduate signs in the front yard that feeds into the party/celebration culture(probably because many of thos parents always looked forward to one). Also 500 dollar prom nights with limousines don't help but one could say the seniors already had their celebration

Hope he carries his work ethic and mindset through to a college graduation
