Recommend an unusual movie please

I would highly recommend "Jules". It stars Ben Kingsley, who is battling mild dementia. A UFO with an alien lands in his backyard. No one but a couple of close friends believes him. They name the alien Jules. It is one of those rare movies that is both hilarious and touching.

Watched Lobster last night. Most unusual.
Get past the first scene and have a gander.
In a dystopian society, single people must find a mate within 45 days or be transformed into an animal of their choice.
I love that move.........you'll like A DARK SONG.

I don't know if this qualifies as an unusual movie like many others posted here, but it is my favorite movie of all time. An old woman's only desire is to go back and visit a town called "Bountiful", where she once lived long ago, only to find nothing is as it used to be.
The Trip to Bountiful, 1985, Geraldine Page

Days of the Bagnold Summer

A teen's parents are divorced, and when his father bails on taking him for the summer, he has to stay home with his mother. It's a sort of quiet study of two people who are making changes in their lives, and how they deal with each other along the way.

I'd say it's a drama, with a smattering of comedy. There are a couple of poignant moments along the way. It's a quiet film. There is no loud action type stuff.

Day Of The Triffids (Man eating tall plants)
Motel Hell--gruesome
