The Recycle Bin icon on my Win11 laptop has gone transparent, the text label is still visible though. I tried googling it and could only find one article with a suggestion and it was written so much in Coderish that I couldn't understand it. Any suggestions to fix it? And do I even need to worry about it anyway?

Go to: Settings, (right click the start button to find settings), from the settings page select Personalization, then select Themes (this will be on the right side of the page), then select Desktop icon settings, this will open a box with a selection of system icons, including the recycle bin icons (there's 2 of them). On the right hand side near the bottom click on Restore Default.

Did you try shutting your computer down, deleting your cashe case and starting back up?
Thanks, Patty, actually, this started up this morning right after I had restarted the computer (because an Intel driver update had gotten frozen). What is the cashe case? I'm not familiar with that one?

Thanks Rich! Although the icon is showing back up since I restarted the computer again, I did as you suggested and saw that I had "Allow Themes to change desktop items" checked for the Recycle Bin; I unchecked that and hopefully won't have anymore trouble but I'm keeping your instructions for just in case, they're good and clear.

I meant delete all your history which you probably already did.
