It takes a fair bit to fire up a Black snake so they weren't in too much peril. They handled it pretty well really, at least they didn't get out and flog it. Can't say how pleased the bloke who had to unload that pallet would be though.
I always keep the windows and doors of the car closed tight in the garage out of habit. A story went around Singleton of a fella who'd dragged the mats out of his car, vacuumed etc and went into the house. He came out a couple of hours later to put the mats back in and put one on a Brownie curled up asleep under the brake pedal. He didn't hang around and they reckon he spent the next 3 days in the pub.
Sure glad I wasn't driving that car...can you say Freak Out! The snake wouldn't be the only one in danger, I probably would have been straddling a guard rail or over the side of a bridge!
I guess a good thing for the guys it wasn't a convertible.
