Red sky at night..

Last evening as the sun went down,the sky turned a mixture of brilliant reds, orange and electric blue..
This pic was taken in my village, although there were similar views all over the N.East. This pic hardly does justice to the brilliance of the colours. The blue was really intense.



And this was taken from a neighbouring village.

These colours are not very rare, but last night was quite special. This is another pic that i took (some time ago) from my lounge window.

Where I live in the UK the sunrises and sunsets are awesome at times. The terrain is very flat and one can see for miles and the horizon is untouched and the skyscapes are vast.

Those are beautiful photos, Capt. This below is the best I could do here. Believe me, the colors were amazing but they never came through in the photo. I was disappointed.

My sunsets never come out great with my pocket camera, and the colors I see when I first see the sunset are never the same as they were when I finally take the photo. Here's one I took one evening when we were out camping.
