Yes, furniture back then was almost an art form. That is why I spend time almost daily looking at America's Attic on fakebook. I just like to look.

I was really sick of the dark finish and my friend is an artist that paints furniture. She painted it and put flowers on it. I picked the colors. It’s beautiful and stunning. It took her 27 hours of work.

I see some of that online for sale. i was sorely tempted by a wardrobe set.. drawers, side tables etc, that had been painted in a stunning green shade... but I thought, after a few times of opening and closing the drawers I couldn't be sure how durable the paint will be, ( unlike you whose having a personal friend do it ).. soI thought better of it.. but they were lovely...
 

Today I did laundry. All the washers and dryers are working presently. Bonus.......they were all clean too! I could only do half of my laundry because I got behind again. :( So tomorrow if the room is clear again, I will do the rest.

Instead of a regular breakfast, because I was so busy, I had keto chow pumpkin ice cream. It is a complete meal replacement because Keto Chow supplies a third of your daily nutrients. Good too! I just got done with cleaning the bunny's cage so can relax for awhile till about 4:30 which is when I prepare my supper. Tonight it will be burgers and bacon.

I made more of my homemade mouthwash too. Comes out good and I think it works way better than store bought.

I just placed a grocery delivery for my son, Jeff. It will be here between 12-2. I was offered a free express, which is usually ten bucks. I didn't take it because I don't want the delivery that early. I need time to drink coffee and get my day started. I guess I do have routines but that is how I can make sure I get everything done that needs to be done. Getting other deliveries too and now that I think of it, they are for Jeff too.

Sun is shining in my windows already. That is a good sign even if it is only 18 degrees. I will be going out to the dumpster sometime today. Early I hope and plan on. When I do that, I scope out the laundry room to see how busy it is and if I can get 2 washers because I have 2 loads to do.

I watched a video last night that said having routines is what keeps seniors homes clean and fresh. Turned out many of the things they listed I do. Didn't really learn much but I think it is funny they apply this to seniors (US!) when it is something that is good for everyone. I think what they meant is for the younger population to learn from seniors and how they do things to keep it easy and clean. I learned it from my mom. She worked and I had to help her (because I was the girl in the family).
 
I’ve found that when you live in a small space routine becomes more important.

My little apartment can go from comfortable and cozy to skid row in two or three days if I don’t push myself to stick with my daily routine.

It’s the same with eating healthy regular meals instead of just drifting along on snacks.
 
I have the Walmart + Access for low incomes, and they sent me an email for a free express delivery, too. It said it was good until the end of December, so I am not using mine right now either. I usually make and order and have it come in the afternoon, but sometimes I order too late for that, so i have a morning delivery.
Ours has gone to a 2-hour time frame now, instead of the 1-hour that it used to be (like 2-3 pm, now 2-4pm). Our Kroger also has a delivery plan, but they do not accept the Healthy Benefit cards that come with my medicare advantage plan; so I have to shop at Walmart to use the card.

Kat, when I moved to the house in Binghamton I furnished it almost completely with furniture from America's Attic. I loved every piece that I bought. All beautiful solid wood, so pretty. Then when I sold the house, I couldn't bring the furniture out here to the country, there just wasn't any room. So guess what? I sold it all back to America's Attic 😉. It was a win-win!

Our store does the 2 hour time frame now too. It is works out okay because I don't like it to come too early (gotta have my coffee first!).

Well that is a benefit of buying from them. They have beautiful furniture but I don't need anything.
 
Today I am going to try to start walking my hall again. It is very cold, about 10 degrees this morning so not going outside till afternoon. I have to make that walk to the dumpster but not going to take a walk out there. In Chinese medicine, they ask you if you are a person who likes water and drinks it or a person who likes water but does not drink it. The latter one is me. I like it but I forget to drink. Even if it is sitting right next to me! So making an effort by putting a post-it on my computer screen.

That takes care of movement and hydrating myself. I drink electrolytes through out the day. I had to start making my own since I found out the brand I was using, LMNT was using a natural flavor that had maltodextrin in it. More than the amount they had said previously. It was too much for me even though I loved their products. Sad to have to give it up. But I am trying to heal and that affects my goal.

I am making more keto ice cream today. I am limiting to myself to two a week instead of daily. Makes it special not having it daily.
 
Wonder why every time I sweep the floor and check it to see nothing is left behind...........I come back to put the broom and dustpan away and there are a few scraps of hay left behind???? How can that be? I really check it good. No matter how many times I check when I come back I find more hay on the floor (right where I just swept!).

I am trying to get Rabbit to drink more water today. Finally I put some on a spoon and he drank it! I guess he wants me to wait on him more than I do.

Having a popsicle I made with Salty electrolytes. Pretty good.....chocolate loco.

Now time to walk out to the dumpster..............

How do you make your electrolytes, @katlupe ? I remember reading somewhere that some people use the horse electrolytes diluted with water, because they have all the necessary electrolytes, and do not have the chemicals and flavorings and sweeteners that are put in the electrolyte drinks that you buy. I think that I might have even done that years ago when I had horses and bought the electrolytes for them, but I don’t remember anymore.
There is a guy on X that makes his own electrolytes, (GatorGar) and he had his recipe on there at one time, and was still working on it. I think he added lemon juice to his.
