Here is the floor lamp behind the bed. With the remote I do not have to get up to shut off the lamp.

I find as I have gotten older that the things I buy are mostly for making life easier, safer or healthier for me. Not luxury items. Sometimes they feel like a luxury item, such as the new bed and accessories for it. Maybe the mug warmer is a luxury item though. Next month will be a "No Buy" month. Only what is in my budget. If I need something I will put it in when I write up the budget sheet. I can't see anything I will need unless it is in the food category. That is separate from my monthly budget.
I admit, not having Rabbit has been a big boost to my budget. Plus I paid off a couple credit accounts since. I have not been able to go to my hairdresser since October because I cannot walk there right now. And not sure I can sit in the chair that long. So that has saved me some money too.

Bunny was so very lucky to have you in his life! So many little ones in this world have no clue...bless you.I know the feeling. After Rabbit went blind I set up special paths for him since he was a free roam house rabbit. If I changed something I showed it to him and made sure he knew his path. He did okay with that. Just did not do binkies anymore or run around like he used to. Made me sad but I worked with him and did the best I could. I miss him terribly.
Just take it one day at time and be thankful for that day. That is what I did.
My husband isn't much on gifts but I don't mind because he is a good person and I really don't need all that much at this age.
Finally, we are getting some winter here; rain overnight and possible snow next week, time to be sure I have my Vitamin D to help with the overcast days.

I think the key to finding the remote is to always put it back in the same place. In bed and out. I do that with everything. I counted 6 things I have that use a remote! So have to be stocked up on batteries and always know where each one is. Might be a plus to living in a studio apartment since there is not a lot of places to lose things.So I'm jealous, you are one of those people who can actually find the remote...

The sun is actually shining this morning! Good day I hope.
I talked to my friend who lives downstairs last night. She said the manager is going back through people's accounts finding mistakes made by previous managers and then adding that amount to their balance now. It does not seem right to me to do that. One couple owes more than $1000. and they are low income too. It was not their fault..........the fault of the managers.
So today I am working on finding a method of keeping track of the rent payments. I wonder if she finds that someone paid too much if she gives them a credit for that? Probably won't mention it. I usually just put the money order receipts in a file folder. I think I have found a way to do it. I will see if it works.
Living here in low income senior apartments is kind of like working a job. You have to cover your butt! Be one step ahead of the management. Keep track of every single thing no matter how trivial it seems to be. Write notes about your meetings with management. Keep all paperwork in a folder filed by year.
Writing things out is a plus if later on you have to prove it. Important to put the dates on all paper work. It feels like they are out to get us. Like a war.

I don't know about your case, Kat, but store-owner's ethics say that, when a customer leaves the store, the transaction is finis-kaput! There is no going back and changing facts or conditions.
