I don't know what to say about this, other than it is for
charity, still, that doesn't stop it being silly, I think!

They better check the sighted man's gloves for weights
or a knuckle duster, because he will never live it down,
if he gets beaten by a blind man. there is a picture in
the link.

The perfect solution......No lights in the arena. Even things up a bit, right ? JimB.

Slightly off at a tangent, but the boxer story reminded me of some of the Paralympic visually impaired runners who have a guide to run with them. I always thought it would be good if you could get Usain Bolt as your race guide. I don't care if I get dragged all the way to the finish line, just so long as I get the gold medal 🥇

I used to box in the Marines and at the Naval Academy. It's hard enough seeing with the lights on than going without. I was knocked out one time and I never saw the punch coming. This man I was fighting was super quick. All that I remember was waking up laying on the canvas. I thought I had a stroke or a heart attack because I never remembered getting hit. I asked what happened and the Trainer said I was cold cocked. This man ended up being the super welterweight champion.

Reading the article it is, as I thought it must be, a partially sighted boxer not a blind one. he can see three feet in front. I hope his opponent has a good jab :)

The fight hasn't taken place yet, the only information
that I can find, is, "it is for charity and will take place
next Month".
