I thought this was a good story that we should all get to hear. It goes a little way to restoring faith in humanity I think.

A Texas mother with two little kids went into a jewellery store to try and sell a ring that was a family heirloom, her mothers. She'd had some kind of problem, was totally broke and had to sell the ring. The jeweller, a Syrian refugee, listened, asked a few questions and then pulled money out of his pocket and gave it to her along with the ring which he'd been examining. Then he said, if she had any more problems and needed to sell the ring again, to come back to him. Thank goodness for that lady, that Texas governor Greg Abbott had not won the day in his campaign to keep Syrian refugees out of his state.
When questioned by the CBS interviewer, he said, " “It doesn’t matter what religion you are, it doesn’t matter where you’re from,” Noah told CBS. “This is our humanity, everybody should do that.”
So maybe when people wonder why 'more Muslims aren't speaking out for peace', maybe it's more that we aren't listening.
