Funny show. Sometimes I was surprised by what they got away with on TV, back then, given the state of control. Nowadays, I think the show might seem tame compared to the stuff that's currently on.
 
One of our local TV stations got in a spot of a mess with the FCC because of a Benny Hill episode many years ago. I was actually watching at the time.

Apparently they had a "British" episode tape instead of the cleaned-up "American" one. Bare breasts were shown, briefly, and you.couldn't.do.that.on.American.TV, at least not during certain hours. How it got mixed in with the other ones, nobody knew, but somebody's head rolled and fines were levied.

I was, and still am, a Benny Hill fan.
