Remember Joey Chitwood thrill show?

Joey always performed at our county Fair back as far back as I can remember. I remember this year when he started using 1949 Fords and put on a heck of a show. When Joey retired, his son took over the show. I don’t know if there is such a show now. I would have been 12 years old in 49 and I was in love with cars back then.

I remember sitting in the grandstand at the New York State Fair with my grandmother watching later versions of his show and others.

I also remember The Wall of Death on the midway.
