Remember to stay hydrated this summer

I was feeling a bit dizzy on standing today, and was reminded of something my doctor once told me. She said I was probably a bit dehydrated when there was no other apparent reason for the dizziness. She reminded me to drink more water, especially after being outside.
Sounds obvious, but sometimes we get so involved with life, we tend to forget to take care of ourself. Here is a pretty good article I found

Good article Marie, thanks! :) I have been feeling kind of funny like on the verge of dizziness lately. My blood pressure was a little higher than it should be at the doctor's today but I forgot to take my propranolol so I have to do that yet. I don't believe I've been drinking enough water the past several days either. I'm going to fill up my big glass in a few. I like it with lemon cut up in it. Gives it some flavor.

Yes it is important to stay dehydrated. My Mom use to say she had to remind herself to drink water. I couldn't imagine what she was talking about. Just a few years ago I was downing fluids all day long. Now, like my Mom I forget to drink, besides that I hate water. I like Lite apple juice so I drink that most of the time.

I believe many of the health issues folks are experiencing, these days, are from our air, that is turning increasingly toxic. Big Industry doesn't want that truth to come out, Big Auto Makers are the same, and Local Municipalities don't want to see a mass exodus that will obliterate their tax base. The truth is out there, and soon, I'm going to start searching for it, via independent air quality test labs. Austin's air is making people sick, I think. I go outside, take a whiff, and feel lightheaded. My work is 100% outside, so I have great reason to be concerned.

I know you really meant hydrated..:)

I have to constantly remind Ron to drink enough water. It's not a problem during the week when he's working...he buys a case of water every week, keeps many bottles in the cooler he keeps in his work van, and pounds it all day long. It's just when he's at home it's a problem. When he's working around the house on the w/e he gets really focused, and simply forgets to drink!

I've taken to making up a large sports bottle of citrus water for him in the morning which helps him remember to drink. I refill it in the middle of the day and that way he gets enough fluids.

I take a large sports bottle to work with me, and refill it again when I get home and that way I get enough too.
