Removed because the F word was prevalent

I wonder if my seven year old grandson knows this word.......I sure didn't, at his age. His parents are not users of the word, but he has friends with older brothers. He's in a nice little crowd.

I don't understand why the f word makes people crazy. There are a lot of English langage four letter words that are said and have a far worse meaning yet we say them everyday without flinching. For instance:

kill push, hang, shit, turd, piss
can't
stab
slap
kick
rape
bury
dead
beat
yell

These everyday words said everday can kill the dreams of a child, scare a woman into staying, make the elderly feel alone and frightened, make a dog cower and cry, and turn what should've been a home into a living hell.
So, I will use the f word if I feel like it. I has no power over me or most people then the list above does.

Unfortunately regardless of how you feel about free speech..and I do... the software on this forum will not let you...

What was removed, because of this sexually abusive word? Was it a post on this forum, a book from the school library, or someone's underwear, or is this just a statement bemoaning the removal of this word from some hypothetical event?

I was 5 when my mother left, and my grandparents got me. I had been allowed to just run before that, and one of the places I went often was the pier since the beach was one short block from home.I heard a lot there! So I walked into my grandma's apt and said "You Blankety blanking blank"! She sent my 15 year old uncle out to get a switch,I was told that I took one look and passed out.

After that each time I started with "you" grandma would very quickly smack my mouth.I learned not to say those words, however I could think them. Much later I wondered where I learned those words.I had no memory of things before being with my grandma. I have missed her every day since 1975.

Since the word was in the script for The Wire it makes sense. It definitely showed the gritty side of life for both the drug dealers and the cops who weren’t pristine either. Apparently it was realistic. I can believe that. It was really exceptional.

I only ever heard my father use the F word..or any hard cuss word ONCE...never heard my mother use them at all in my whole life..

I can't remember the cirrcumstances but there was a conversation going on between the adults when I was about 12 or so, and my father used the F word... I nearly fell down, because I'd never heard him swear at all.. ever..

My father was a so called Glasgow Hardman, he was a street fighter, we saw him fight men bigger than him 2 or more at time and leave them lying in the gutter ... , he was also a child and wife abuser, yet he never drank alochol or used Cuss words...

True to life show.
The best police show I have ever watched because of the authenticity of it.

I have an excellent vocabulary. I also swear, depending on who I’m with and where I am.

I went to a private catholic all girls school in Australia, and heard some of the foulest language from the mouths of those female teens! 😉

My Dad swore. My Mum didn’t.

When the grands were little, I never swore around them because the parents didn’t, so I took my cue from that…..even though those same parents would cuss a blue streak when out of the kids’ hearing! 🤣

I’m not offended by swearing, though I find it tiresome when I hear someone talk and every single sentence has a cuss word in it.

At least my swearing is selective, used when I’ve hit my limit, over-the-top angry or frustrated, or completely disgusted, that kind of thing.

It might be because none of the words in the list are sexually vulgar. Rape is sexual, but is legitimately recognized as a criminal assault. But start talking naughty about sexual pleasure, and it raises red flags.
