Hello! We have so many deer, oh my. They eat all of the hostas in the backyard. I keep all of the tulips in pots on the porch and in planters hanging out of windows and I sprinkle them with pepper so the only threat right now is the squirrels if I forget to "repepper" after a heavy rain. The tulips right now are about 2 inches out of the ground (I didn't plant them until February), I cannot wait to see them, they are my favorite flower!

Gosh, that's great (and shows fortitude on your part :LOL:)
that you've found some ways to have tulips, despite the deer!:D
Most people I have known who live in areas with deer, give up on tulips, after a couple of tries.

I am surprised the pepper is enough to be effective at discouraging them. Or perhaps you meant that you use pepper, to discourage the squirrels from taking over your entire property and plants. :ROFLMAO:
Squirrels can do that, too.:D

Our tulips , here in New England, are about the same as yours, at this point. Whenever the snow melts down, I can see them again, and they look strong and healthy, and promising. I do not have deer, in my close immediate grounds, so the tulips do well, which brings me joy.
