This was the busiest season I can remember. I loved it, but it wore me out. Starting with having my Supper Club ladies over last Sunday, and asking no help w/food or wine -- my choice, then hosting our family Christmas & 2 full days of cooking....plus working almost everyday other than Xmas Eve and Xmas Day... then putting it all away yesterday, I AM EXHAUSTED!
Good news! I have the week off and won't be working again 'til a week from tomorrow/Monday. (Sometimes when I think I'm off, like yesterday, it doesn't work out that way, but everyone just left for the mountains this morning and won't return 'til next Sunday!!! Yea!)
Love my job, but I don't know when I've looked forward to anything more than this break. I may not leave the house and am going to enjoy every wonderful second of no alarm clocks, no errands, no taking care of anyone but myself. I may even unplug the phone and avoid the very few E Indians who are still calling, as the girls can call me on my cell! Oh happy day!!!
