Restaurant in Los Angeles now charging a security fee

Oh, brother. 🙄 If a restaurant has the need to hire security, and charge me a fee for it, to protect me from other patrons, I won't be dining there.

From what I understand, The Perch is a hoity-toity, "A" list only, see and be seen, insider establishment. If your night's tab at the Perch is in the thousands, I doubt a few more hundreds really matter.

I visit California twice a year. I do hope that they let it be known at the door or the beginning of service that there will be a security charge. That gives me the option of eating my meal or declining service. I've started noticing in Texas, that some of the restaurants are now charging a service fee. Personally, I would prefer them to up their pricing rather than another charge.
