Retired and then again

I worked as a Software Developer for 44 years. I started in 1981, retire in Jan 2024 and then went back to my previous employer from Sept 2024-Aug 2025. As much as I liked what I did, I really don't think it is healthy to go back. Working seemed to cause me to gain weight. When I retired, my weight plummeted along with my blood pressure. I am currently training myself to not be bored. I have an issue that many people have in their 60's but don't realize.

I have more money than time. I have an IT and an Accounting degree. I am acutely aware of numbers and trends. I have spreadsheets to measure everything. I am still learning how to be free of the work mentality. Every morning from Monday to Friday, I get up about 5:50-6:00 AM and say "Today is MY day, not THEIR day".

Welcome to SF. :)

Who is "They" of, "not THEIR day?" Your former employers or the workforce animal as an entity?

Edit: typo Godsdammit. :/
