Retired for a Year and ....

Hi! I have been retired for a year now and in the past 3 months have suddenly started to get bored, or feel unproductive or something! I thought it might be interesting to meet people out of my real life circle and find out how other people handled retirement (other than traveling). I’m 59 and my partner and I split our time between homes in VA and FL. Also, just interested in getting to know other retirees!

Hi KStarfish,welcome to this friendly site. I was volunteering on my days off from work.When I retired in 2011,I've continued to do this,now 3 days/wk,find it very rewarding. I now have the time to enjoy my hobbies,reading more books,,going to the movies couple times a month. I'm sure you will be able to find an org that would love having you as a volunteer.I'm Sue in Buffalo,NY
