Hi,
I am a 62 yo male looking to retire in Northeast TN. Just starting to look into. Attracted to the change of seasons and affordable living. Currently live in Northern CT which is very expensive to live. Looking to work until 65 in CT. Love Golf, the 2nd Amendment and working out.

Hello there from "soon-to-be" wintery/snowy northern Colorado aka "one of the northern cowboy states". Wife and I are both in our early 70's.

We love golf and watch PGA quite a bit, but definitely when Tiger is playing. We also play golf, but it's on our Wii Game in our living room (LOL.

After spending 10 1/2 years in northeastern Florida, and missing a lot of things we did in Colorado, we moved back in August 2019.

Real estate prices are skyrocketing in Tennessee. Not sure about the NE part, but my daughter just sent me a listing of an AirBNB that they rente two years ago in Nashville. It was valued at 384,000 in 2018 and just sold for 798,000!

In Connecticut I pay over 7500.00 dollars a year for a 300K house. Plus Car taxes, sewer taxes. Fire department taxes. Electricity rates and Natural gas some of the highest in the Nation. Connecticut’s unfunded pension liability amounts to $32,805 per person in the state and 45.13 percent of Connecticut’s gross state product. My gym is full of retired state employees under 60. I'm sick of paying.

Welcome to the forum; while political discussions are not allowed, golf and working out are. I remember taking the kids to miniature golf all the time. It was so hard to let them win. 🤣. As for working out, yup, changing the channels on the tv can get intense sometimes, but I manage.🤪

Welcome to the group.

I hear you about the taxes. Here in PA, we also pay more than our fair share, but I have heard that Connecticut is much higher. I have a friend that moved to Winchester, Tennessee and he tells me all the time how much better it is, including the weather.

Welcome from California. My best friend and copilot is moving to TN, northeast of Nashville about 40 miles. He is looking forward to it, and I will really miss him.
