Hi everyone, I’m new here and would like to be part of this community. I’m a 77 year old female who was widowed about 18 months ago. It’s been a rough road. I have also lost my 2 best friends. Luckily I have children and 4 grandsons nearby, but they lead very busy lives like I did when they were young. Well that’s my story. Look forward to joining discushions.

I think as much as the kids grieve, it’s not as painful as what we feel. No one can understand unless you go through it. Keep in touch

Hi Nana and welcome. I'm sorry for your losses and your feeling lonely. You'll meet lots of friendly and kind people on this site who understand.

I lost my wife of 40 years 7 years ago now and without my working son here at home things would be very tough but as others have said there are a number of folks here in the same boat.

I understand about the children. They want to help but they have busy lives.
It makes me think about my parents and in-laws and wish I knew then what I know now.
