Good question. I feel I could really use one. Occasionally I spend a half hour at a small local lake taking in the ducks and scenery.Refuge, seclusion, or privacy
Where's yours?
I live on outskirts of a small village in NM, Jemez Mountains form my eastern horizon. Because we are almost right on the Continental Divide to the West the landscape is full of Mesas. Low light pollution, so amazing night sky views. Have several acres, mostly left natural. So just a walk around my place grounds me and comforts me!I now live in what used to be my place of refuge. If I feel I need a retreat from here, which is rare, I go to New Mexico. Last September I camped in the mountains beside a river and did not do much but read and listen to the river flow.
Sounds really peaceful...I live on outskirts of a small village in NM, Jemez Mountains form my eastern horizon. I have a fan blowing air on me in my bedroom and I like it for many reasons, one of them being that it offers a relaxing background noise that helps me sleep. If I've had a bad day, I look forward to going to bed early with a fan and white noise machine running. It's my way of shutting out the world.
Me, too!The beach
