His energy was always amazing... and that voice always made me smile. RIP, Richard.
I haven't heard yet... except that it wasn't foul play. He was writing emails to thank fans for birthday wishes just yesterday. I know there had been a cancer scare... skin cancer I do believe... but I thought that had resolved.I wonder what he died from? He was just 76 and yesterday was his last birthday. I hope he had a blast and went out on a high note. R.I.P.
I'm thinking it will most likely be a result of his fall last night... and then he passed this morning. If it does turn out to be Natural causes..it just goes to show that even staying very fit, won't give you a long life...
Isn't 76 a long life? Especially for a man? Maybe we're in a dream world. However, in the USA I believe the over 100's are the fastest growing age group. But, maybe our expectations are unrealistic? If it does turn out to be Natural causes..it just goes to show that even staying very fit, won't give you a long life...
He chose to stay out of the public eye for a few years. During that time, though, he was making phone calls and writing emails to people he was helping... often 200 mails/calls per day. He was certainly loved by many for a very long time and deserved some private time these last few years. He hasn't been seen in public the past 3 or so years. I know a friend of his that said he was in and out of the hospital under an alias for at least the past year.
Richard was a good motivational speaker that would include some comedy. I know he will be missed by his friends.
True, but it makes you feel better for the time you're here. I tell myself that.If it does turn out to be Natural causes..it just goes to show that even staying very fit, won't give you a long life...
I agree. It helps a person to remain independent too. Who wants to pay everyone to do things for you?True, but it makes you feel better for the time you're here. I tell myself that.![]()
