RIP Cilla Black

I was very sad to hear of her passing. She was a favourite of mine when I was a kid............had my hair like hers and dressed like her and was totally jealous that she was friends with The Beatles. I still know all the words to You're My World.

I was very sad to hear of her passing. She was a favourite of mine when I was a kid............had my hair like hers and dressed like her and was totally jealous that she was friends with The Beatles. I still know all the words to You're My World.

We were in Camden London yesterday when got a news alert...we knew here professionally for a very long time , over 25 years... in recent years she made a statement saying she hoped she wouldn't live past 75 years old, she felt that was old enough before serious disability became a real possibility.

She has suffered from arthritis for quite a time, and was very deaf...she was found on her solarium ( roof terrace) on a sunbed...she loved the sun , but she also loved alcohol..( no inference that she was alcoholic at all)...but Spain although always very hot at this time of year has been going through more than normally high temps, over 40 degrees in places, and Cilla had just flown out a day or 2 before from the UK with temps around 22 degrees . Now she may well have died from natural causes but I can't help thinking that perhaps some alcohol, and the sudden immense heat of the sun at aged 72 may have played some part in her death.

However the autopsy will reveal all...at the moment they're saying natural causes. her death has shocked the entertainment world, but I hope she went to sleep and just didn't wake up...no more pain..and may she R.I.P
