RIP Ron Glass

He was great in many things but my favorite character of his was Shepherd Book in the great show Firefly.

He was great in that show also and yes, the brownie episode was a classic. But I really did enjoy him being the peacekeeper in Firefly. He did such a good job on that show. It's a geeky show though that Fox cancelled way too early so not many know about it. It's more of a cult hit.

It's so sad to see yet another iconic television figure from the 70's pass away.

Barney Miller is one of my all time top favorite shows. Maybe THE top favorite.

I still watch the reruns every weeknight on Antenna TV and have yet to tire of it.

It was already tough enough watching it knowing that Jack Soo, James Gregory, Steve Landesburg, Ron Carey, and more recently, Abe Vigoda were gone.

Looks like only Barney and Wojo are left now....

I watched The Godfather for the umpteenth time last weekend. It's easy to forget how great Abe Vigoda was in that movie.

Ron Glass wasn't a slacker either. As noted he made his bones on Barney Miller, a sitcom and wound up a classic science fiction show Firefly.

I also saw a where a character from the Barney Miller era passed this week as well.

There's the three, Florence Henderson, Ron Glass and the other guy

I tried watching Firefly two separate times...just couldn't get into it. And I've always liked Nathan Fillion and Gina Torres. I remember Ron Glass from Barney Miller. Sorry to read about his passing, may he R.I.P.
