I cut cauliflower in small pieces, drizzle with olive oil and salt and pepper.
When almost done I add shredded cheddar cheese and leave in oven for two or three more minutes.
It is so good.
There used to be a take-out place here that served fried cauliflower. It was delicious. I used to stop there occasionally on my way home from work on Fridays and get a couple of orders of fried fish, curly fries and the cauliflower and bring them home. That was dinner for mom and me. After mom passed (2006), I don't remember patronizing them. Sadly they went OOB about 4 years ago.
Fried cauliflower is delicious. My Italian grandmother used to make it. She didn't coat it in breadcrumbs though but instead used flour mixed with spices.
I made it once but I hate frying anything at home. It came out good but getting rid of used oil is a bother at home.
Yep, same here... broken up into florets, toss with olive oil, salt and pepper on a sheet pan. Hot oven. I line the pan w/ parchment or foil. I have also topped w/ grated cheddar when done, and left just until melted.
Roasted cauliflower is my husband`s favorite veggie. He would eat it every day. I spray with olive oil and spinkle with just a little season salt and it`s so yummy.
Like most others here, Iāve tried roasted cauliflower florets. Cut into pieces with drizzled olive oil put under broiler setting in oven, seasoned with salt & pepper with a bit of turmeric is tasty. Making it into a cauliflower soup is also nice
The US Navy introduced me to both roasted and breaded deep fried cauliflower. Since I already was a fan of the raw form it made me a real booster of that particular veggie. The smell of the fried version can be a bit off putting to some, but the taste more than makes up for it.
