Rotator cuff issues...right shoulder

Seems like I am having an influx of "getting old" Symptoms. Most recent is my right rotator cuff. For the past few weeks I have had serious pain and discomfort in my right shoulder. Coukd barely move it some times. Figured it had a lot to do with all the lifting, moving and packing I am doing. On top of arthritis and aging.
Got a referral ti a new orthopedic doctor (my last one retired a few years ago). Got in this morning. I had X Rays taken the other day. Definately Arthritus, and some inflamation of the Rotator cuff..there is a medical word for that, but do not ask me to remember it. Anyway, I saw a Nurse Practitioner today (maybe it is my age, but ahe looked about 15 years old LOL). She showed me my X Ray and pointed out all the issues.

She gave me a cortisone shot (feel better already, though will take a couple days to fully kick in). Reminded me not to do any lifting for a day or so, and referred me to a PT. She wants me back in 8 weeks, to check how I feel. At that time, she said she will help me find a new Ortho for when I move to Batavia, if I want.
There is a rehab practice in the same building, so I will see a PT there. Just one visit, to get some exercises I can do at home. We can determine later if I need to continue occasional PT after I move.

I damaged my rotator cuff a couple of years ago. I quickly learned why baseball pitchers often have shoulder surgery when they're young.
I took my usual insulin & sometimes I hit a nerve or the insulin burns half the time. That, plus not being able to eat what I want leads to frustration. Frustration leads to anger. Anger led to me throwing the syringe at the wall as hard as I could. I must have been really mad because it stuck 1/2 inch into the wall.
The next day, I reached up to get a dish from the kitchen cabinet & I had a terrible pain in my shoulder. I could only lift my arm 6 inches below shoulder height for the next 8 months. It healed by itself somehow.

I tore the rotator cuff in my right shoulder 5 or 6 years ago. My doctor sent me to a sports medicine specialist who gave me a cortisone shot, and a regimen of exercises to perform on my home gym. The shot kicked in within a couple of days, and doing the exercises pretty much cleared the issue over 2 or 3 months.

I have had cortisone shots in the past. On my knee. Back then the doc told me they usually did not have a lot of success in the hips with the shot. But I had already had mine replaced by then.

I was diagnosed with a torn cuff also lots of years ago and also felt the pain of it; got the shot but it didn't last for long, until, I started walking our doggie about four years ago, and would you believe it stopped hurting, which doesnt make any sense cuz he pulled and jerked my arm and shoulder to death!
Haven't walked him in two years now but the pain has not returned....one less issue I have to deal with....btw, my son now walks him.....

My right rotator cuff years ago. Had both, at different times, cortisone and lidocaine shots. Helped somewhat. Did PT, and while I have some degree of range of motion, still very painful at times. I opted out of surgical repair.
