I doubt that we will ever know the full story behind this Covid-19, and how it originated. I also doubt that it will ever be totally eradicated. Hopefully, as time passes, the vaccines will be improved, and enough people will develop immunity such that it becomes a minor issue. This will likely become just another health issue that we will have to contend with...much like the flu.

However, until a full year passes without any more major "surges", we will continue to remain cautious.

How dare a newspaper charge for its content! Gimme a break... It costs money to put the news out - it's not a free service. People who work for papers need to get paid.

Many news sources (NY Times included) have some articles that aren't behind paywalls. The Wall Street Journal charges for every article. No freebies whatsoever from what I've seen.

Until the Internet arrived newspapers weren't free to read unless you used your local library's (paid) subscription.

With any "epidemic" or any unpleasant event, the first order of the day is to find someone to blame.
Anyone you don't like will do just fine.
First, the Chinese caused it.
Then it was Blacks & Hispanics who were responsible.
Then it was those Orthodox Jews who are always dancin' & huggin'.
Then it was those church people who "leave everything up to God."
Now, it's just "those selfish, unvaccinated people"
