Russians crash space prob [unmanned] into the moon

“The apparatus moved into an unpredictable orbit and ceased to exist as a result of a collision with the surface of the moon,” Roscosmos said in a statement.

That's a hell of a way to put it. Might just be the translator, but it seriously made me LOL.

Made me laugh too .... couldn't happen to a better country.

Apparently landing on another planet is rather difficult to do. And it's extremely difficult if there's no human aboard to adjust for changing conditions. Mars has 19 piles of crashed failed landings.
To be fair, Russia did land on Venus several times (so they say). Most of the crafts crashed or malfunctioned, but two of them successfully sent back photos, and Russia shared those photos with Europe, China, the UK, and USA & Canada.

I think everyone closer to Putin have got shaky hands in Russia at the moment - slightly wrong final adjustment and plonk goes the moon??
