Ruth Buzzi has passed

She was 88 and has Alzheimer's. Best remembered for her comedic performances on "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In".

I watched Rowan and Martin's Laugh In every Monday night. Ruth Buzzi was one of the reason's that I loved the show.
R.I.P. Ruth, and thanks for all of the wonderful laughs you gave us.

She really did become an old lady. Wonder if she hit anyone with her purse before she departed.

Hope she had as many laughs as she made.

What a great loss to comedy. I watched Laugh In religiously and her Edith Ann, Ernestine and Miss Ornsby sketches were the best. My mother and I used to repeat on of her skits. My mother would say "I had to move 3 times last night in the movies", I'd say "Did somebody get fresh?" and she'd say "Eventually". Good times!

I saw this last evening. She was hilarious on Laugh-In when her and Arte Johnson did their “dirty old man” skits.

Those sketches with Ruth Buzzi beating Arte Johnson with her oversized purse are still just as funny as the day they were written. Their expressions (his: libidinous leering, hers: angry shock and horror) never failed to get an uproarious laugh.
