Sad anniversary today...

I think I'm in Florida, but I'm not sure any more.
Today is the first anniversary of my sister's death. She was run down in the street in the late evening by a drunk driver who ran a stop sign and died the next morning, which was one year ago today. Last year I was on a plane trying to get there to say goodbye to her, but she died while I was in route. It's been a rough year for the family, but we're adjusting. She was more than my sister, she was my best friend and my soulmate.

We're still waiting for the trial. It's scheduled for next month....maybe...unless the defense continues delaying it. That'll be another rough time.

Oh my, @jujube , it's been a year! I well remember when this happened and my thoughts are with you today. 🌹 Please talk about your sister here anytime you feel like it! I hope the drunk driver does time.

It must be hard for you. Not making it to say goodbye made the situation even worse. The trial will be rough. I don't know how I would contain myself seeing him sitting there. I guess I'm not a devout enough Christian to forgive him and unfortunately it could drag on forever. My condolences to you and your family as you try to move on.
 
Oh my goodness, Jujube has it been a whole year?... I'm so sorry that you as a family are still going through not only the pain of your sister's death, but the frustration of the law . I do hope it all goes ahead next month as planned and you can all get some kind of closure ((hugs))
 
that was so sad to read that --hope he goes down for a very long time ……...
 
Oh honey. 😱 I lost my brother almost 10 Years ago. He was my best friend. I still miss him. Guess I will always will. I know how he’s it is.

I am so so sorry. Sending you an abundance of love and light. 💔
