Stillborn babies should be given a proper funeral, not discarded as human waste. (off-topic, I know).

This is now entirely up to the parents. A hospital will release the baby's body to a mortuary or funeral home if the parents want.

Well, delete this if it crosses the no-politics line, but a certain U.S. Senator with the initials Rand Paul sent me a letter enclosing a bunch of forms to sign and mail to various senators requesting a Life At Conception Act which, among other things, declares that:

Science is clear that human life begins at conception when a new human being is formed;​

A Life At Conception Act by declaring that unborn children are persons legally entitled to constitutional protection, will rescue millions of unborn children from dying by abortion-on-demand​

In other words, if you get knocked up, there would be NO option for abortion, period, and if you had one, you'd be guilty of murder.

I will cease here, as this is getting me too ticked off.

Setting aside conception - would you agree that rapists should receive life in prison, or at least much, much harsher sentences? And that rapes should be investigated as diligently and with as much indignation as murders?

Rapists always re-offend, especially child rapists. If I remember right, the average sentence is 12 years, and can be as little as a matter of months.

WHAT???!!!!!! And what happens when the woman kills her attacker in self defense? We had better watch out. Between what's going on with Roe vs Wade, the threat of birth control also being outlawed (not that far fetched these days) and this insane new Canadian ruling, which hopefully won't catch on in other places, women's rights and safety will be even less protected than they are already.

Seems to me that these sort of laws are made by men that don't like women. If not "don't like" then at least control.

If our elected representatives did a better job, we wouldn't need the courts to fix their goofy mistakes.

Also, the media very often fails to report the real issues behind some ruling. Headline: Court Rules Man with Covid Can Kill Neighbor's Dog. Real issue: The dog attacked the man on his own property. Media response: That was mentioned in paragraph 27 of the story.

It is impossible to word every law where it can not be challenged, but of course, some laws are written poorly to start with.
