Sad news - an acquaintance passed away

I hadn't heard from her in a while, so I sent an email about a week ago. No answer. Just now I called and her niece answered the phone and told me she passed away yesterday.
I met her when I was doing my aunt's estate as they were good friends and we became acquainted. We even took day trips to Vermont during foliage season, but haven't done it in years since she hadn't been feeling well. She had heart problems and near crippling arthritis - at least her suffering is over.

Her niece said there will be an obit, but wasn't sure when or in what paper. She said the family is working on it and she'd call me when she knew. The niece lives just a few houses away from me.
