I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news for many of you who were good friends with jim, but you know he went into hospice just a few months ago after struggling alone for a while , , he has now died.. I can't tell you any more than that... but almost exactly one year since his beloved wife died he's gone to be with her .

May he always R.I.P....

Thank you Holly for letting us know about Jim. I know he was heartbroken when his wife passed on, and was in poor health himself. Jim was a good person with a warm heart. I'm very sad to hear he is no longer with us, but I hope he has some comfort to be with his beloved wife who he loved so dearly. Rest peacefully Jim, we will never forget you, 💙

I figured he'd passed

We had a few close PMs

They're gems now

His last PM to me;

'I love ya brother.....'

My reply;
'Yer a class act, man

All the way

absolute pleasure knowing you....and knowing of you

yessir'

Last from Jim;
'Likewise Gary...It's a pleasure knowing you...You are one of the main reasons I love it here...'

I agree with him... Gary O' you bring a bit of sunshine to the site.

You guys make it sooooooo easy

I'm the one soaking up the rays

Jim was an extraordinary being, that stood tall in understated class

There are a hand full of others here that stand in that limited space

It's what puts this forum in another realm for me
I did not get to meet him from this forum but from reading other post, he seemed to be a pretty good guy.

I just think of this song when I think of our friend Jim. Here is is with his beloved wife Detta, may they both rest peacefully and know they are loved and will be fondly remembered.

So sorry to hear that, Jim was a nice and considerate person. We exchanged some PMs, he appreciated this forum, and I appreciated his participation, I liked to address him by sir. I was very glad that he returned to SF and shared his last few years with us after politics was banned. Thanks @hollydolly for letting us know.
