Saturday Night Live Reunion

Who's watching the Saturday Night Live Reunion? It's good seeing some of the "originals". I can remember that what we did on Saturday night in the "early days" was predicated on whether we were going to get home by 11:30 to watch the show or were we going to stay at the bar or someone's house until 1:00 a.m. to watch it (no VCR's back then.....at least nobody I knew had one). After all, you DID.NOT want to be the one person at work on Monday morning who *didn't* watch the show. What would you talk about????

Just caught part of the intro with Betty White and Chevy Chase. I never watched it regularly, but I think the old shows were much better than the newer ones.

Good memories watching Saturday Night Live. The years have had ups and downs.

Phil Hartman was one of my favorites ever.

I'm a SNL fan from way back. All I've seen so far has been a video clip of Melissa McCarthy doing Chris Farley (pretty darn funny too). Love the all original players too - Chevy Chase, Dan Akroyd, Belushis, Gilda Radner, etc. etc.

I was able to watch the first 2 hours... then I went to bed... But I really enjoyed it. It was fun seeing the old group and how they look today.. What happened to Chevy Chase? Yikes...

We didn't watch, but recorded the Red Carpet. After that was over, we started watching the show itself and got somewhat bored with some of the really stupid things we were seeing. Will Farrell is funny, but we just don't like him that much. So, turned off the show and started watching the recorded Red Carpet. Now, that was pretty cool to watch. Recorded that last hour of the regular show and will see how that was.

Neither wife or I watched SNL, but sure like a lot of the comedians that came from it.

Chevy got old - and fat - from what I have just read, he's apparently antagonized many people over the years - maybe he's 'grumpy old man' now. Too bad because I used to like him on SNL.

I loved him in his Vacation movies... Christmas Vacation especially. We watch it every year... and each time we hear a new line.. That movie has the greatest one liners in a single movie that I have ever heard.. Always makes me laugh.

The original Vacation movie. What a classic. Dan Aykroyd in Trading Places. One of my all time favorite movies. Another movie with some great one liners.

I watched a little, but, my other show was on, I don't break from TWD unless it's a rerun , so, I didn't really see much of the reunion show.

I'm a very recent TWD "convert", so watching "What Happened and What's Going On" was mandatory. I had heard of the SNL reunion but didn't know that it was on Sunday night; maybe it will play again sometime.

I finally got to see the whole SNL special last night on video - it was so funny and great to see old favorites -- and weird to see some of them looking very good and others looking not so much. Yep, Chevy Chase looked strangely unwell or unfit - sad. Eddie Murphy looked incredibly young and so did Steve Martin - no wrinkles.

Didn't watch.I watched Saturday Night on Saturday night when they showed the very first one in full with George Carlin.

Reunion shows, eh. The few times I tuned in while channel surfing it sounded like a dead audience.
