Saudi Arabia Trying To Stop UN Investigation of Saudi Arabia War Crimes In Yemen

Darn right they should be investigated and spread that investigation out to cover human rights abuses while they're at it! The Saudi's are terrible!

Fingers crossed that the UN won't be swayed for a change. Although to be fair, they are flying the Palestinian flag finally. Baby steps?

Blame it on the Dutch? Really?

The Saudi's chair the Human Rights Council of the UN and this link: http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...n-secret-deal-over-human-rights-council-place - says there are official leaked documents that show there was vote trading by the UK and the Saudi's to get them into that position. As well, the American government is supportive of the Saudi's in their bombing of Yemen and is a member of the UNHRC and we all know how (fond) the US administration is of this horrific government.

So it seems to me that there are a plethora of governments to 'blame' and that in all likelihood, the Dutch merely bowed to pressure from several with a vested interest in seeing to it that the investigation faded away.

Seems to me that the dismissal of this investigation is only a symptom but the real 'disease' is actually more a question of how a government like the Saudi's can be appointed to a human rights watch group! They've beheaded more people in the last year than ISIS and they've done it publicly (they love to do that) and they cut off limbs and flog people to deaths door, and that's not even taking into account their 'abuses' against the women of their country.....

Isn't it supremely bizarre that while crap like this is going on, the West gets their panties in a twist because Russia, peacefully and without shots being fired, accepted Crimea's referendum and let that region return to Russian embrace?
