There's a new email scam involving Norton Lifelock. They will say congratulations on renewing a three year subscription for about $500. Do NOT call the number they provide or make inquiry. Norton's number is 1 855 815 2726. Be careful.

Thanks for the heads-up. It's amazing how scammers are constantly thinking up ways of getting your money! I get emails all the time from scammers saying my Paypal account or Amazon account has been locked and call this number to get it corrected. Ya, right. Unfortunately, a lot of people panic and fall for this crap.

I’ve gotten robocall variants on this scam repeatedly. The claim is that my anti-virus protection has been automatically renewed at an outrageous fee, the charge for which will appear on my banking account within 24 hours unless I call a certain number within that time. If I called the number, they’d doubtless want my banking info under the guise of cancelling my non-existent account with them whereas they’d actually start draining funds using the info you’ve willingly supplied.

Scammers try to panic you and fill you with a false sense of urgency so you respond quickly before thinking things out. Wouldn’t it be great if they got real, honest jobs?! 😡

Wow, just wow. I got an email yesterday as well saying my order was processed for 510.97. It said for cancellation call 1 833 343 2412 seems they are after us old folks. It said it was from the App Store. I asked my daughter about it and she said it was a scam.

What do they say when you call the number? What happens?
I've NEVER done a call back on anything that looks odd.
When it comes to my spam......never open.....delete immediately.
On my land phone, i look at the # as to whether i answer or not.
Most of the summer i have a call every Monday, message it hard to figure out, they use 888# for call back, same voice every time.
Think these people need a real job.

Yes, I got that email about 2 weeks ago,not realizing it was a scam I replied to it
I said I hadn't had Norton for 2 yrs obviously you haven't ck'd your******* records,I'm not paying this
I threatened with calling my lawyer, that did it
The trouble with opening those links or calling those numbers is that you could be opening yourself up to data theft. I think that's how the hackers get in. I hope that didn't happen to you, moviequeen.
