So Milwaukee is no longer famous?
Milton "Mil" Faimee was a pitcher for the Mid-Wisconsin Brewers baseball team. He was a very good pitcher but was hindered by the fact that he was an alcoholic. When he was sober, he could pitch no-hitters til the cows came home, but when he drank, well, all bets were off.
The championship game was being played and it was the bottom of the 9th. The game was tied 1-1 and their rivals, the Dairy Kings, had the bases loaded with two outs. Mil had been nipping away throughout the game, but so far had only allowed a couple of hits. The pressure was getting to him, though, and he had one beer still hidden away in the dugout, which he pulled out and gulped down and tossed down on the ground..
A bit unsteady on his feet, he stepped onto the mound and let one of his famous slider balls fly. STEERIKE ONE! shouts the umpire. Another fast fall and it's STEERIKE TWO! By now, Mil is seeing double but he figures he can manage to throw another fast one to win the game for the Brewers. He winds up and throws. The ball beans the batter, resulting in a walk, which brings in the player at third and the game is won by the Dairy Kings.
After the dust clears, the manager of the Dairy Kings enters the Brewers' dugout and carefully picks up the beer can discarded by Mil. "Boys," he says reverently, holding the can up, "This is the beer that made Mil Faimee walk us!"
