School bus with 23 children on board flips over after driver crashes into it

A school bus with 23 children on board flips over after a driver crashes into it. The driver was allegedly racing another car at more than 100 miles per hour before the impact, and he is facing felony charges. A witness said the car did not stop.

Another reason why seat belts should be mandatory on school buses, IMO. The news showed a video of kids being tossed all over inside that bus, and it was a miracle that none of them were killed.
That is one I never understood why seat belts are not in school buses. They say that school buses are designed in the interior to protect the occupants without seat belts. Definitely not in this case when the driver is driving so recklessly and at speeds so far above the speed limit.

There is NO design that will protect vehicle occupants in a crash without seat belts. Whoever is saying that must think everyone is a moron.
The truth is, they don't want to spend the money to equip buses with seat belts - which would also mean extra time to make sure each child is wearing one.
