We live in a cool age. We're finding out stuff that's totally incredible in every discipline of science.
One thing I'd love to do is pear into the minds of animals. I've had cats all my life, and they all had definite personalities. I had one cat I swear was a person in a cat suit. Who knows what the biggest brain in the universe-a whale, is thinking?

Speaking of dinosaurs, my pet peeve has always been scientists saying dinosaurs were here and gone long before man came along. Yet, knowing that cavemen would have very little time to sit around and doodle (while trying to simply exist), why would they draw dinosaurs? For that matter, how would they know what a creature that was supposed to be extinct millions of years before them even looked like?
I always liked the drawing of cavemen attacking what appears to be a dinosaur. Remembering that primitive man didn't have a lot of ways to document his day to day living except through cave drawings.
Kind of makes one wonder.

We'd have to know the culture more deeply. There is evidence that cave drawings where not art, per se, but part of shamanistic rituals. So, a drawing of an imaginary creature, related to their rites...is definitely a possibility.
Or, like Anubis in ancient Egypt. That may have had depictions of supernatural beings. And there may have been some species of very large land lizards or even some dinosaurs that were still around 50,000 years ago.
The evidence that we have for very very very ancient finds is still quite limited and there is much that is unknown.
