Scientists can reverse aging in mice. The goal is to do the same for humans

Well I can't see that ever getting used on Humans, we'd have a popualtion explosion that the planet couldn't handle...but what would be good is if they could use it to reverse the effects of old age..such as retina and hearing problems, and arthritis.. so people didn't have to get old in pain
That would be fantastic if that can be done

I think the idea, in general to shoot for immortality is interesting, of course.

But my thought is this....

What if they can make people live for 200 years?

While that sounds wonderful...that literally means that someone will be more than 100 years old for 100 years.

And even if folks then, are only, say, 70 years old medically, when they are 120 or something...folks will still live a huge portion of their lives as very elderly folks.

I tend to think the natural way of letting life takes it course might be a better idea.

With the shape my body is in at 61...I definitely do not want to live another 100 years in this body...

That would be great

I'm 76, ain't no way I'm going through puberty again.

But I aways thought they would find the culprit aging gene, or chemical. And figure out how to stop it.
I don't like the idea of reincarnation either, but I think it represents fairness...we all would experience various tragedies and triumphs..I have always felt an 'unfrairness' in why some have so much more tragedy and pain in their lives than others ..makes no sense and I like for things to make sense 🤗

It sounds... interesting. No heart disease, no cancer, etc., and as cells start to age, they can just reverse them again and again, so you can live until the ripe old age of never? I dunno. Living into your hundreds sounds like you'd need a whole lotta moolah and have to keep working forever. I like the looking/being younger part and the no disease part, but the working forever part, not so much.

It's not like it will be available to anyone who wants it. The only people who could afford this reversal would be the rich. I'll just be growing older as gracefully as I can. dance3

Bella ✌️

I don't want my aging process to be reversed. With what's going on in the world now, I don't want to unnaturally prolong my life so I can witness things getting worse and worse. 😖

It might be interesting, as we don't seem to gain compassion, and wisdom until we have some substantial life experience under are belts. Maybe change the voting age from 18 to 80.
