While it's generally accepted that all life on Earth shares a common ancestor, some variations in genetic code and biochemical pathways have been observed, suggesting that life may have evolved in different lineages. The idea of a single Last Universal Common Ancestor (LUCA) is widely supported by the shared genetic code, biochemical pathways, and genes across all living organisms. However, the possibility of independent origins or alternative evolutionary paths remains a topic of ongoing research.

The idea of a "shadow biosphere" suggests that there might be other forms of life that evolved independently and may exist in separate ecological niches, not readily recognized by current scientific understanding.

Researchers in the scorching deserts of Namibia, Oman, and Saudi Arabia uncovered a strange feature in the rocks that looked like thin, orderly tubes running through marble and limestone. But these structures don’t resemble any known geological process which is why researchers believe they may be the work of an unidentified form of microbial life.

Just don't anyone tell the Supreme Court about this or they'll think they have to decide if it's male or female.

So the real question is if there might be "shadow biosphere" that does not share a LUCA with all other life on Earth, and is therefore equivalent to an alien species? Different biological structure and characteristics.

Although the below are considered evolved on earth, that may not quite be true if Earth's virus and bacteria are common on other galaxy planets that has spread via panspermia.

I actually understand why a slime mold can think because they have electromagnetic fields created on their cell walls to oscillate within their electrolyte single cell bodies. That is why the dominant human brain consciousness theories are incorrect in expecting it is sort of structurally geometrically circuit based. Instead, for we creatures as well as slime molds mind exits as the whole integrated brain wave field as a dynamic electromagnetic entity.

Adaptive behavior and learning in slime moulds: the role of oscillations

Adaptive behaviour and learning in slime moulds: the role of oscillations - PMC

...First, their topology derives from a network of interconnected, vein-like tubes in which signalling molecules are transported. Second, network motility, which generates slime mould behaviour, is driven by distinct oscillations that organize into spatio-temporal wave patterns. Likewise, neural activity in the brain is organized in a variety of oscillations characterized by different frequencies. Interestingly, the oscillating networks of slime moulds are not precursors of nervous systems but, rather, an alternative architecture...

What about the rocks themselves?

Is it confirmed that they're from earth? Could they be from somewhere else?

I'm no scientist. That's just the first thought that popped into my head.

Are the rocks from here?
Are you referring to the rocks brought back from the Moon many decades ago?

Some posts I follow you, others go so far over my head that I just sit here with my eyes spinning. LOL

My news app knows I click on science reports so I get them every day. Scientists are always discovering new life forms it seems.
