Without going into a boatload of details, I was in a rehab hospital from 9/26-10/2/25. My Medicare kicked in. 10/1, however they continued to bill my primary insurance, which of course denied 10'/1. Hospital billed me the full amount telling me "I could take it up with Medicare" Pay up or we will send you to collections.
Again leaving out the ugly details, I just paid. I manually filed a claim with Medicare, which they paid pretty promptly. I then asked for reimbursement from the hospital "crickets chirping was all I heard" So I then filed a fraud claim with Medicare.
Figured it was the last I would hear of it. Today I get a check from the facility - an odd amount. It doesn't reference DOS or even facility so I plan on hanging on to it for a while to see if I hear more.
